Sample List

A Nigro Firm “interdisciplinary only” level of KeenLook coordination review looks for things like:

• Utilities (gas, water, sanitary, storm water, fire water, underground and overhead wiring, telephone cables, chiller water, steam, etc.) shown on the Civil drawings connects to the building… checking the location, size, and elevation with Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical, and HVAC plans.
• The Architectural main/ground/first floor elevation matches Civil plans.
• Structural columns and load bearing walls match (location, size, orientation, material, etc.) between the Structural and Architectural plans.
• Cross-bracing shown in Structural does not interfere with window and door openings shown on Architectural.
• Slab elevations and expansion joints match between the Structural and Architectural plans and details.
• Structural shows openings in the slab for stairs, elevators, and shafts shown on the Architectural drawings.
• Structural shows openings in the slab for large duct penetrations shown on the Mechanical drawings.
• All cross-discipline items (hose bibs, exterior light fixtures, fire alarm gongs, etc.) shown on the Architectural Exterior Elevations match other discipline plans.
• Electrical and Mechanical agree on locations, voltage/phase/horsepower, etc. of mechanical equipment throughout the building.
• Other large items that require power (such as elevators) are supported by the Electrical drawings.
• Locations and sizes of louvers and side-wall vents shown on the Mechanical drawings match Architectural exterior elevations.
• Roof drain locations shown on Plumbing match the Architectural Roof Plans.
• Electric water coolers match between Architectural, Plumbing, and Electrical plans.
