The Nigro Firm's Vice President
Shirley Nigro

Ms. Nigro got her “Can Do” attitude many years ago from the Seabees when she was a Naval Officer’s wife of William (Bill) T. Nigro, who was in the Civil Engineer Corps (CEC). She learned much while being a DEP (dependant) of the Navy. She learned the most efficient way to move from place to place. Nigro Firm: Seabee's logoShe also became an instructor of flower arranging, taught bridge classes, was a guest speaker a luncheons, worked on committees for decoration and entertainment for formal affairs such as the Marine, Navy and Civil Engineer Balls, chaired committees for prestigious events such as the NATO International Bazaar, volunteered at pre-schools and elementary schools, learned how to drive on left side of the road, and learned more about construction administration than she ever expected.

She continued her “Can Do” attitude after her divorce from Mr. Nigro in the late 1970’s. Now as a single parent of three, she jumped into becoming an entrepreneur and obtained financing for starting up dog grooming shops. There she combined her love of dogs and her relationship with her daughter as a long life business partner. Natalie, at the age of 16, managed one of her three grooming shops.

Nigro Firm: psychology in action... a stylized brainMs. Nigro decided to obtain a Psychology Degree, with a minor in Communication, when her children attended college. She attended school with two of her children and learned the meaning of “study.” The rewards were wonderful… she and her daughter decided to work together to make a future. They have teamed up for over 20 years to bring technical and psychological aspects together to provide an amazing workplace… one that promotes team building, rewards excellence, takes advantage of opportunities, revels in overcoming challenges, and is just down-right fun.

Ms. Nigro brings much to the Nigro Firm in the way of other businesses she has been involved with and experiences of a lifetime. She is the graphic designer, photographer, marketing guru, efficiency expert, moral officer, and laughs generator to name but a few of the hats she hangs on the hat rack at the Nigro Firm.

Some folks have called this mother-daughter team “obsessed,” others have called them “go-getters,” but they just think that they're striving for a better way of living.
