The Nigro Firm's President
Natalie Nigro

The Nigro Firm’s team of skilled, meticulous reviewers is headed by Natalie Nigro, the president of the Nigro Firm Natalie has 18 years of experience in construction document quality assurance and can usually be found up to her elbows in drawings discussing a particularly unique error discovered by one of her team members.

Nigro Firm: desk with drawings and review pensNatalie received her training to perform RediCheck reviews by her father William T. Nigro, the originator of the RediCheck system, after receiving her electrical engineering degree from the University of Utah, with minors in Mathematics and Computer Science.

Through her early exposure and experience, Natalie has been a pioneer in the construction document coordination review service industry. In fact, she was the second person to receive a RediCheck license.

On January 2, 2008, after 16 successful years as a RediCheck license holder, disagreements regarding marketing methodologies prompted Natalie to leave the RediCheck Associates. Since then, she has led her team into developing new products and services that are designed to facilitate fast, accurate coordination reviews that perfectly fit every client’s unique needs.

Her leadership agenda includes keeping everyone on the Nigro Firm team happy and well trained, so they can be productive, consistent and valuable team members. If that means keeping the office kitchen stocked with M&M’s and answering questions after five, she thinks that is a small price to pay for happy, motivated reviewers that keep hitting their deadlines.

With her intense interest in educating people about the value of quality construction documents, in October 2003, Natalie was pleased to be a presenter at the UFOMA (Utah Facilities Operation & Maintenance Association) Fall Conference in Logan, Utah. Her presentation was titled Q/A by Using an Interdisciplinary Coordination Review to Reduce the Cost of Change Orders.

She is proud to have been nominated for the prestigious title Woman of the Year - 2009 by the Governing Board of Editors of the American Biographical Institute.

Nigro Firm: Proud member of the COAAShe is currently an associate member of COAA (Construction Owners Association of America) and a member of NAPW (National Association of Professional Women).

Natalie is the “face” of the company and, although very busy, she strives to be accessible, friendly and approachable. In fact, to be there for her customers, 99% of the time she'll be the one to answer the phone. See our blog article, “Who answers the phones at the Nigro Firm.”

Work Experience Prior to Coordination Review

Nigro Firm: photo of the Hubble Space TelescopePrior to giving her full-time attention to her construction document coordination review business in 1999, Natalie’s experience was technical and quite varied. Her experience ranged from facilities management at a VA hospital to artificial intelligence programming (working for a Department of Defense contractor for 4 years as a research scientist, and working for a NASA sub-contractor for scheduling Hubble Space Telescope observations for another 4 years). Furthermore, she was a technical writer and software tester for a private sector accounting and inventory management software company. And her experience also includes a process engineering position with National Semiconductor where she identified, evaluated, and minimized the causes of costly particulate defects in semiconductor manufacturing.

It is interesting to note that Natalie has been involved in Q/A in many industries and areas (semiconductor manufacturing, facilities management, software coding, and user manuals). To read in more detail what Natalie did during this period see her Resume Prior to 1999.
